Taking over the former digs of nugget, Golden Weasel is a no nonsense hutong bar serving craft cocktails, beer, and wine at reasonable prices.

A new cafe with various cats to play with over by the Drum Tower area. Drinks available include alcohol soft drinks such as tea and coffee. There are five sections for five types of cats and you can stay in the lobby where there is no cat to consume food (pizza) and drinks. Interacting with the cats requires a separate fee.

A hip, two-story restaurant in the heart of Gulou, serving up affordable Sichuan food and their own custom drinks, plus Great Leap beer.

The museum dedicated to showcasing China’s hairdressing history and culture, and home to hundreds of objects associated with the haircutting biz, such as old furniture, tools, various types of scissors, and ancient wooden combs and hairpins, as well as a collection of old photos showing how Chinese have cut and styled their hair throughout the ages. One of our favorite features are two iPads that allow you to what you'd look like with various typical Chinese hairstyles such as the Mao Zedong balding bouffant.
