From growing our online restaurant directory to reviewing new restaurants and attending events, it’s an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in Beijing’s ever-expanding restaurant scene and gain valuable publishing experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
-Native English fluency
-Competent spoken Chinese
-A sincere knowledge and passion for food

- demonstrable interest in Beijing’s bar & club scene.
- outgoing personality and ability to establish and develop relevant contacts.
- ability to commit 15-20 hours per week minimum to the internship for a minimum of three months.
What you’ll gain:
- Hands-on print and web publishing experience.
- A substantial portfolio of articles.
- Working closely on The Beijinger’s bars & clubs section, you’ll gain insight into all aspects of the magazine’s monthly production cycle, including writing, editing, events and photo collection, proofreading, and page design.
- Opportunity to attend events and build contacts.
- A well-rounded knowledge of Beijing and its various social scenes.
- Small monthly stipend and reimbursement for costs incurred on the job.
