Good burger, heavy on the wallet

Review of Let's Burger
4

I would have given this place a 3.5, but since there is no such choice, 4 stars it is.

This place seems a little over-decorated for a hamburger joint, and it seems that you can't sit on all those cool bar stools, but the environment is comfortable and quiet, and they provide free wifi for those inclined to surf (although no electrical outlets for your laptop).

I had a regular cheeseburger here, and it was good: a huge bun with a lot of stuff inside of it, but a good blend of sauces and ingredients, none of which overwhelmed the taste. Plenty of juices running out of this burger.

The fries served here are thick -- bordering on steak fries, of which some might not be fans. However, this place has a special sauce bar, where you can choose from all sorts of sauces and dips to put on your fries. I stuck with the traditional mayo and ketchup, but everybody seemed to be getting quite creative with them. Without the sauces, I would have avoided the fries outright, with the sauces: yums!

The big downside to this place is the price: It's extremely expensive. 100+ RMB for a burger, fries, and drink seems pretty outrageous to me, but a lot of people seem to have the mindset that if an expat joint doesn't break that 100 barrier, it's okay. Drinks are particularly expensive, with soft drinks being the only thing below 20 RMB (18) while coffees and smoothies go well in the high 20s and 30s even ...

So, if you're feeling "saucy", and want to treat yourself to an expensive Sanlitun expat meal before a night on the town, give this place a try: You'll enjoy the food.
