Great food and a bit of entertainment
My girlfriend and I went Dahr Khan a few nights ago as I'd been craving some roasted lamb. We weren't disappointed. It was absolutely delicious and accompanied by some very tasty yan rou chaunr (not spicy) and a plate of "traditional Mongolian greens". We took the recommendation of the waitress and ordered some sweet tasting bai jiu (which was somewhat pricey at nearly 200 kuai), but was easy on the palette and not "ball peen hammer to the forehead" strong. The traditional Mongolian music was a nice touch, though it morphed later on into a bizarre karaoke night when the huge table of drunken birthday party revelers next to us decided they needed to audition for Super Voice Girl. I would highly recommend it. Without the booze, the meal came in around 130RMB and was way more than 2 people could eat. Conveniently located over behind the Friendship Store and about a block east of the St. Regis.
