Don't see the appeal
Review of Annie's
Came here once on my own, a couple of other times at friends' insistence. Food is very "watered-down Italian". I don't insist on "genuinue" Italian, but at least a reasonable facsimile. Pizza tastes like what my Eastern European grandmother used to make--in other words, pretty mediocre. And the prices aren't particularly high, but I can't say that you get good value.
My hometown used to vote The Olive Garden as the best Italian food in the city every year. It used to drive me crazy, because we had many very good real Italian joints. I don't know, maybe there are an awful lot of expats from my city in Beijing.
