I am a movie buff who loves the in-theatre experience. The sound system and the big screen, to me, is worth the price of admission. I cannot reproduce that feeling while sitting in my tiny one bedroom apartment. Mega box is about five years behind the west but I still like what they have. First, the seats are comfortable. I feel it’s a bit odd that one must choose a seat before purchasing tickets but whatever. Order people, we like a society with order! Second, many of the ‘blockbusters’ are subtitled. Third, just outside one can get a bite to eat before the movie starts. And lastly, they have a membership card that saves you half on tickets. My complaints are that the popcorn is disgusting and the front 1/3 of the theatre are so close to the front speakers that it’s hard to concentrate on anything except your aching ears.

Arrive 1.5 hours early, grab something to eat, sneak in your own popcorn, and make sure you get seats toward the rear
