Overpriced but overall good experience

Review of South German Bakery, Cafe Konstanz and Bodenseestube
3

This review is about the hot dishes and for the haoyunjie location - there's not much to say about breads and cakes except that it's very good, yes it's expansive but not overpriced because it's really top quality- even back in Europe it would be considered good.

When it comes to hot dishes it somehow feels like a rip off though. Tried the flammenkuche and the breaded escalope as well as a kind of big guotie-like ravioli stuffed with spinach and mince, I forgot the name as I don't speak German. The flammenkuche was really good and big enough for 68 kuai, but the other 2 dishes were really overpriced. The escalope was 92 kuai, I mean it's just pork meat and bread with fries as a side, come on. I was expecting something more for this price. The other dish was actually 3 huge guotie in a funny tasting sauce of sweet onions and something else that I couldn't identify but tasted like toothpaste, 73 kuai.

I'm somehow disapointed because it's my first contact with German cuisine, so don't go there if you're looking for a real meal.
