Beijing Bouncers

Review of d lounge
3

Having been in D-Lounge a couple of times, it makes me laugh to read the varying reviews of the place.
For what the place is trying to be ie, a semi exclusive lounge, I dont understand why anyone would question the use of bouncers in such a location. It seems to be nappynight at nanjie no matter what day i've been there and Tun aint much better, although I did have a good experience there. All of that without mentioning that on visiting last saturday night, I didn't even see a bouncer. If you can't get past a bouncer in Beijing, then I'd like to see you get past one in the UK. Some folk need a look in the mirror!!
Yes the place is looking to stand out from the usual haunts of Sanlitun and it is nice that we can visit somewhere like this without travelling further south or to one of the top hotel bars, but to get on the place's back because they dare change a policy or break away from the norm seems a little harsh.
All in all, my experience of the place has been fine. Admittedly it isn't my number one choice of bar, however it is a change of scenery in an already hectic area of town and offers a more relaxed opportunity to take a break from the Intl school kids bouncing around the adjacent venues.
Nuff said!
