Apothecary is a great bar, to be sure. I really like the vibe, love the commitment to the "art" of mixology, and the selection of unique drinks. The guys behind the bar definitely know what they're doing, and they mix what are arguably the best drinks in town.

I've never eaten there, but the food always looks and smells amazing.

The only things keeping this place from being a complete home-run are that the drinks tend to be on the small side (for 60+ kuai the pours feel pretty miserly) and there's a service charge. I don't necessarily mind paying a service charge, per se... it just comes as a bit of a surprise in this town, and tacks a couple more kuai onto what's already a pricey drink.

Anyhow... its a "quality" not "quantity" place. Go there to have a great, high-quality drink or two... perfect way to prime the pump or just relax on a nice night out.
