I was skeptical coming onto Mega Box since it smells like caramel and not popcorn, but what I got was a movie experience that was comparable to if not better than most American movie theaters. The tickets are super easy to buy even if you don't speak any Chinese, and the snack selection is very good. The actual theater is the best part--it's one of the biggest theaters I've been in, and the fact that the scree was set a little bit below the seats meant that even if you're in the front row it's still an enjoyable viewing experience. One thing I hate about American theaters is the fact that you have to crane your neck if you're in the first five rows--not here! Also, I've recently learned that there are half-priced tickets on Tuesdays, which I'm definitely going to take advantage of. The movie selection could be a little better, but if you're looking for a solid viewing experience in Beijing and a really classy theater, this is your place.
