Pass on D Lounge

Review of d lounge
1

And D is for dangerous ...

The wait staff and bouncers became very agitated with my friends and I (girls!) for resting a drink on the arm of a chair. So agitated that I thought they were going to take out a knife and slice an ear off. We quickly left before things got out of hand.

I am a member of private clubs in London and NYC and know a good bar when I find one. D-Lounge is not comparable. Its like a man in a posh new suit but with a Seiko watch and dirty fingernails.

Lots more smart bars in Beijing with a good attitude. Give D-Lounge a miss.

Re: Pass on D Lounge

Maybe because the arm of the chair is wood? Do you want rings on your chairs or coffee table? I think not. Who rests their drink on an arm of a chair anyways? Heard of holding it in your hand or putting it on a table?

D-Lounge is one of the best lounges in BJ. Slightly stylish but a rather pretentious crowd. Their original drinks aren't all that great either, but I think it's the bartenders' fault.

What's wrong with a Seiko watch? Japanese can't build quality, refined things? Considering you rest drinks on arms of chairs, I don't think you're one to talk poorly about Seiko.

Sadly, this isn't New York or London though.

Seriously chinpo there's no need for the bouncers to get all agro over that.
A simple request to refrain from resting the drinks there should suffice.
