Cheap, crowded, crawling with communicable diseases

Review of Capital Children's Clinic (Ritan)
1

This is the place that locals take their kids for medical care on the east side of town. Prices are cheap (ranging from a few kuai for "regular" doctors and RMB 100 to see an "expert"), but like all Chinese hospitals, the crowds and chaos are dreadful. Average wait time to see a doctor is about an hour. The building is also decrepit - definitely needs better hygiene and the nurses act as if they're working in a warzone (which in many ways, they are). If you have the money (or policy), steer clear and go with the private clinics for routine ailments.
