Impressive Setting! Take a date, take a visitor, maybe not a business partner...

Review of Pure Lotus Vegetarian
4

Tucked away in a nondescript corner of the city, Pure Lotus is a breath-taking vegetarian restaurant whose atmosphere, elaborate presentations, and small portions make it, in my eyes, the perfect place for a date. While the food ranged from decent and overpriced ("sushi") to extremely yummy ("shui zhuyu" and hand rolls), the presentations were so impressive that we didn't feel cheated even when we felt the food could have been better. Our sushi, for instance, was served on a smoke-enshrouded mountain of ice with a tree growing out of it. The menu is intimidating, both in breadth and actual size, but there was nothing on it we didn't liked. The juices were very "healthy" tasting, and perhaps didn't quite fall into line with our expectations of refinement, but I have to admit we felt like a million bucks after drinking them.

The reason I advise against taking a business partner is because some of the pieces are so large that they can obstruct your view of the other person. They are, however, fun to maneuver around with a loved one.
