The Purple Haze Courtyard is close to Culture Yard so we recently decided on our first visit to this restaurant. We arrived at the courtyard, expecting live jazz music. There was no music, and there were no guests. Our second try was better - we enjoyed a beef curry and a coconut vegetable curry. The portions were not as small as mentioned in other reviews. We ordered two dishes - it was enough for two.
One thing we don't like about Purple Haze Courtyard is the seemlingly unmotivated and unhelpful staff. It's too bad, because the place does have potential. The courtyard is nice, the decoration not too bad, the food is good, and live jazz music is a great idea. For now, we will keep on going to Purple Haze - but then just for takeaway Thai food.
