What's the scoop on 80's night?
About a year and a half ago, the 80's night at Alfa was insanely fun. Gay, straight, white, brown, pink-stripey, born in the 60's through the 90's - you name it - they were freakin' out on the dance floor. The DJs were super responsive, and it was a good mix of 80's cheese with the really good stuff: early Cure, Clash, Smiths, New Order... Not to mention, the Long Island Ice Teas were deadly and affordable.
I haven't been back in a while, but reviews here seem awfully mixed. I've got friends coming into town, and I am not sure whether or not to bring them to Alpha for an 80's night.
Any tips? If you are a snooty scenester, yeah, I know, this place ain't hip enough for you. The rest of you all, the ones who I saw out there a few years back having a blast, tell me the deal. Still worth it?

Why don't you take them club hopping... it's always fun...strike the places w. free entrance first and then settle on a spot with cover charge... go to Alfa and if it's dead go somewhere else... it's a win-win... ur friends get a taste of the Jing's clubbing scene...
