This is one of those gems in Beijing. The decor is gorgeous; the perfect blend of classic meets modern. The privacy afforded by the layout makes this perfect for a romantic meal, and a generally better dining experience than the tight open layouts of regular restaurants. This is the place to take people you want to impress.

The food itself is quite good. The seafood is highly reccomended; the beef and chicken are also good, but aren't above and beyond as the seafood is. The drinks are strong and well mixed.

The service is average on a world standard, but definitely top notch for Beijing. The chefs are personable and polite. Never intrusive, but will entertain when called upon. The waitresses are generally attentive and on the ball.

In order I'd say decor, food and then service are the reasons to go. For 2 people expect a bill of 600-800RMB with light drinks. Value for money is questionable if judging by food alone, but the whole package together makes it a reasonable proposition. Make a reservation and try it out!
