The Blue Frog: eat all you like and lose 4 KG in 2 days

Review of Blue Frog
1

I had eaten in the Blue Fog a few times, usually burgers which though overpriced were edible. The beers were about the usual for Sanlitun eateries but on my last visit and I mean my last visit I had an experience to remember.
In 30 years of travelling and eating around the world in hotels, restaurants and at hawkers the experience has been matched just once eating prawns in Australia about 20 years ago.
My last visit to the Frog was just for a few beers and nibbles, so uncivilised to drink without nibbles.
I might add it was a Friday the 13th, a few months ago but I've been busy.
The nibbles were curry spring rolls, they looked and tasted like they were straight out of the freezer and into the deep-frier. Silly me, I had to drown them in the sweet Thai chilli sauce just so I could swallow them. Of course I should have just sent them back but the Tiger beer was crying out for company.
A less than memorable experience, or so I thought!
Between 3 and 4 hours later having consumed nothing else I was feeling a bit seedy on the way home. I barely made it through the apartment door and to the bathroom. Deft and rapid movement was neccesary in the bathroom involving dropping trousers and sitting on the throne. Before the bum had kissed the seat there was an explosion to rival Muraroa Atoll on test day, I am not refering to a sporting event. Fortunately the excrement was entirely liquid as if it had not been any kind of stool would have definitely resulted in permanent damage to my new imported 3000rmb German china throne given the force of expulsion. I wish I could say it ended there but alas not. As my buttocks hit the seat I was literally doubled up and the projectile vomit hit the opposite wall.
As you may surmise from the title this situation, action at both ends, continued for the next 24 hours and over the whole weekend nothing more substancial than water, a beverage usually shunned by me unless accompanied by scotch, passed my lips.
After the weekend I emailed the Blue Frog to tell them of my experience and suggest they might care to check the Spring rolls. Their reaction, well actually no reply, so I did try a follow up email to find my ISP was permanently blocked. Interesting attitude to customer relations.
So in conclusion if you want to pig out on mediocre burgers follow up with a serving of spring rolls and you will actually lose weight. Be careful with your timing though or you might have an embarrassing situation on the subway or in the taxi.
On a positive note I can honestly say the toilets upstairs are excellent, clean and fresh, immaculate which is refreshing news if you are planning to stay longer after the spring rolls ; you could be spending a lot of the night in there if you do.

Overpriced, dry meat, bad service.
The burger is big but this does not means it tastes good.
Does not worth the 85 rmb per burger and its surely a paid advertisement.
FatBurger is WAY better.
