Have been a few times now at Hai Di Lao and three different ones of the many (around15?) they have in Beijing. I was totally convinced by the extraordinary service, snacks while you wait etc. and quality/taste of the food. I like especially the sauce bar with a great variety of ingredients to mix you own special sauce. Took all my visitors at least once to Hai Di Lao and everyone loved it! Well deserved 5 stars, would give it more, if I could.

Tip: So far I didn't see too many foreigners at Hai Di Lao, Chinese people cherish this chain also very much due to good service/ price ratio. If you want to make sure your are surrounded by lovely Chinese guests, choose one of the restaurants that are not close to western hot spots like Sanlitunr etc.
