not thrilled
I didn't mind paying the door fee for a place with suzie wong's ambience, atmosphere and reputation. The former two were nice, and the music was ok. But I spent the night over the worst martini I've ever had, discussing with my friend what could have gone wrong with her mojito whilst waiting for the advertised dj to show up and watching another bar tender smear the stingiest sliver of salt along the rim of the next customer's drink wondering where the bloody hell the reputation came from.
I latter found out those pretty girls suzie wong's is famed for attracting are paid to show up to help draw a crowd. And they were there, chain smoking and bopping around in their little cluster in the corner.
Real shame to see such a nice place get spoilt like that, but very dissapointing to pay top dollar for a martini a kid could outdo.
