If you've been to the original Hummingbird, you know that although it's tiny, it's also clean, quiet, upscale yet affordable, has great service, and fantastic massages. The fact that they have been forced to expand due to too much overbooking hasn't made them skimp on any of these details. For the large amount of expats that have been with Hummingbird from the beginning, I think I can say for all of us that it's a point of pride to see our little Hummingbird open another, bigger, Hummingbird and start getting the notice it deserves.

This Hummingbird is beautifully decorated and well lit, and it's obvious from the first step inside that the facilities are much more extensive than the first. I'm pretty sure the new spa has the same menu, but also added some pretty cool treatments I have yet to see competition for in Beijing. Ayurvedic massage bed? Private VIP room? Gourmet body scrubs? Count me in.
