My friend swore by this place, so we went for lunch there today.
I ordered the lentil stew with angus beef meatballs and a medium rare burger (two course thing).
The lentil stew came out first, tasting of nothing with meatballs that were completely dry and dense with only a hint of any type of flavor. I sent it back as it was too bad to eat. By this time I started feeling very hungry and quickly accepted the carbonara they replaced it with. The pasta was alright, nothing special, had to salt and pepper to get any flavor out of it.
The burger arrives and its completely overdone instead of medium rare, accompanied by what should be oven roast potatoes but what looked like potatoes that had been roasted in the oven for about 3 minutes and then boiled. Despite the boiled watery appearance they were undercooked and didnt taste much of anything.
We both left quite unhappy, me a bit more so than my friend as his penne pasta was alright, but he had the same burger and it was equally bad.
Upon paying we were asked to pay full price, and only upon commenting on this did we get roughly a 13% discount.
Wouldnt go there again.
