I absolutely love the Jing A Tap Room. It is in a beautiful space, in the 1949 building, and the motif is excellent with the red brick lining the walls, cool lights hanging from the ceiling, and just the right amount of room for people to sit at tables, stand around and talk, or hang out at the bar. There is also an outside area that is great during the Spring, Summer and Fall.

The beers are, simple stated, fantastic. I am huge hop head so I love the Flying Fist IPA and, to be honest, there is nothing better than the Airpocalypse Double IPA, especially on a heavily polluted day in Beijing.

The food is very good and the service is quick and friendly. That means a lot here in China because most people aren't trained in Western style service and it is very noticeable when the service is really good.

Since the tap room opened, I have to say that I find myself spending more and more time there each week. The owners, Kris and Alex, are awesome guys and love to hang out with the crowds and will talk to you about beer, music, or whatever is going on. Definitely say hello to them when you visit and pull up a chair and hang out a while!
