Review of TRB Hutong

From start to finish, my dining experience at TRB was impeccable. My boyfriend and I went to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. Before even arriving at the restaurant, they were kind enough to send us a reminder text that included specific directions (that were pretty easy to follow) and an offer for us to call if we had any trouble finding the place. Once we arrived, we were pretty blown away by the beautiful setting and ambience. During the meal, the servers were very attentive, but never overbearing. As soon as our bread basket got a little cool, they quickly replaced it with a hot one. As soon as we used up the last bit of butter, they brought us more. And they never gave us a wine list; they gave us a wine BOOK which is perfect for wine lovers like myself. We received four different types of delicious amuse-bouche. We ordered the lobster and foie gras appetizer, which we loved, as well as the rib eye and pigeon. Both great dishes. We also ordered the praline dessert, which was awesome. But the food we ordered wasn't what really impressed us. They gave us a delicious and FREE pumpkin soup, simply because the whether was cold. They gave my boyfriend a free mocktail because he is Muslim and doesn't drunk alcohol. They also sent over a chocolate cake with "Happy 3rd Anniversary" written on it, took our picture, and printed it out and gave it to us in a makeshift frame to help us celebrate. Then, we received TWO EXTRA dessert plates, just because. Upon leaving, they gave us two jars of yummy, homemade preserves to commemorate our first visit to their restaurant. They also provided us with a private car home, that was ready to go as soon as we stepped outside. I've been to many nice restaurants before, but this is the first time I've experienced service at this level. My boyfriend doesn't care much about nice restaurants and would rather eat chuanr for every meal, but as we were leaving he said "We are coming back here as soon as possible." I can't wait to go again! Thank you TRB!
