CDLP quietly ups draft beer prices to 20 kuai, pastis to 10. Business model implodes. Everyone goes elsewhere.

If the only reason you came to CDLP was cheap beer, than you might be who they were trying to get rid of. CDLP is the heart of the community and a strange black hole of the universe from whence all manner of adventures and friendships begin. The drinks that are actually good did not raise in price. If you want cheap beer go to the corner store and go home and talk some more shit on the internet. You might not have noticed, but if you go there, since they upped the beer price, the quality has improved slightly, and they reward everybody I see with some free drinks fairly often. Still a very friendly place, I dont like higher prices, but I do like that some of the obnoxious cunts who only came for cheap beer left the place. I think there has been an overall improvement in the atmosphere. Ill buy you a drink if I see ya there. Even if you are an asshole. That's Cafe de la Poste, motherfucker.

I was on the same boat as you, the up in price would kill the business. But whoa, it did exactly what they were trying to do, got rid of the riffraff only after cheap drinks and girls. The problem is that there were no girls because they couldn't handle asshole dudes. Anyways, it took a few months but it's rocking like it used to with a healthy guy to girl ratio. The past two weekends have been crazy but with the right kinds of people. Viva la La Poste!
