Nice Rice is a great little restaurant - delicious and spicy Hunan food served in a cozy and light setting with nice and attentive staff. It's good for going on dates, it's good for going out with friends, it's good for taking the family to. But there's one downside to being popular: a lot of customers means a lot of menu use and that in turn means that things tend to get grubby. Unfortunately, Nice Rice have decided to use the same paper menus since they opened this spot and they're barely holding together, despite the ever-increasing paper-to-tape ratio. It also means that you feel dirty even before the meal's begun. Gaross.
Since I'm here, I might as well suggest that they get some different beers in (Qingdao, Hoegaarden, and whatever that generic monk stuff makes for a sad choice), and there's no longer any wine on the menu at all.
Otherwise, still a great little joint for some spicy grub.
