Legend Beer Applies the Surf and Turf Treatment to This Year's Burger Fest Options

In the run-up to our 2019 Beijing Burger Festival on Jun 22-23, we take a very up close and dribble-inducing look at some of the vendors vying for your cash and limited stomach space this year. Be warned, you may want to keep some tissues handy.

As has come to be expected from the Gongti-adjacent restaurant and bar, Legend Beer will serve a well-rounded range of tempting pub grub at this year's Burger Fest. Their offerings will include their classic beef burger, a deep-sea fish burger, Korean fried chicken, french fries, and fried potato wedges.

Those reliable eats, not to mention their decent selection of in-house-brewed beer, have helped Legend make swift gains in the capital's food and beverage scene since opening in 2016. Their popularity was immediately evident among the pre-club dining riff-raff, going on to open a second location the next year before following up with a more distinctive “old-style craft tavern” near Dongzhimen in 2018 as well as a fourth venue by Wangjing Soho.

In an effort to live up to their name at this year's Burger Fest, Legend is pulling out plenty of stops to satisfy the burger-craving masses. The classic beef burger that they'll be slinging at the event is made with quality imported Australian beef, a lip-smackingly good secret sauce, and – a small but important addition – an American buttered bun. Their battered fish burger, meanwhile, will be a welcome alternative for patrons hankering something a little lighter. Of course, they'll also have a couple of beers on tap to help you wash it all down and keep you cool throughout the big weekend.

To whet your appetite, here are a few eye-catching snaps of the surf and turf wares that Legend will be bringing:
