Little Philly Serves Up a Nice Take on Cheesesteaks

Tucked inside the food court building down the way from Home Plate’s Sanyuanqiao branch lies the capital’s newest sandwich purveyor: Little Philly. Seeing as they’re named after Philadelphia, you could venture a guess that the particular sandwiches they specialize in are Philly Cheesesteaks.

The shop was opened just this past week by Yu, a local who, after having spent time in Philadelphia, grew to love Philly Cheesesteaks so much that she decided to bring them with her back to Beijing.

Since the restaurant is new and operating out of what’s essentially a cloud kitchen, the menu is simple and bare bones. Along with the cheesesteak (RMB 36 single/RMB 59 double), which comes topped with Ragu cheese sauce, ribeye steak cooked with onions, mushrooms and Crown smoked cheese, plus the not-so-classic addition of pickles and jalapenos.

There’s the Avocado Bacon (RMB 36 single/RMB 59 double) sandwich, like a BLT if the L was swapped for pickles and cheese, avocado spread and jalapenos are also added, plus fries (RMB 23, add mayo for RMB 26) and a few drink options.

Little Philly also does great combos, with a choice of sandwich plus fries and a drink coming in at only RMB 52.

If you’re in the neighborhood or hankering for something a little different, give Little Philly a try today. They are currently available for delivery on Meituan and Eleme.
