Enjoy Live Music, DJs, Games and More Fun at Burger Fest

Burger Fest is only two days away, and if our posts on exclusive burgers you can only get at the Fest and all the other amazing vendors haven’t got you excited enough, here’s a sneak peek at all the great entertainment, games, live music, DJs and more that we’ve got lined up.

Music

The Barrelhouse Blues Trio

Get ready to rock and roll as The Barrelhouse Blues Trio takes over the Burger Fest stage this weekend. Their music will fill the air with the kind of classic blues and rock that's sure to get everyone dancing.

Easy Street

Easy Street is Beijing’s newest pop-rock band that specializes in a fun, laid-back style. The band is comprised of well-known musicians from the Beijing music scene, including vocalist Steven McKinney (Stevie Mac), keyboardist and vocalist Taylor Hartwell, rhythm guitarist and vocalist Christian Tiao, drummer and vocalist Taylor Kelly, bass guitarist Timothy Chen, and lead guitarist Barry Allen. Together, they create a truly dynamic sound featuring unique four-part vocal harmonies. Easy Street has everything you want in an easy-listening party band, giving a one-of-a-kind performance you won’t want to miss!

Tea

Hailing from Croatia, Tea is no stranger to our festivals, having played at one of our Pizza Fests in the past. Tea likes to mix fresh R&B, hip-hop, pop, and soul songs with jazz and acoustic-driven grooves. She made a commitment to bring these contemporary sounds to Beijing and promises to bring something fresh and sexy to the ears of you and your many secret lovers.

The Real Deal

Having been together since 2015, The Real Deal Band is made up of four Beijing rockers, namely Greg Luttrell (vocals, guitar, harmonica) from the USA, Nico Mege (drums) from France, Jose G (bass, keyboards) from Venezuela and Dean Mongerio (saxophone) from the USA. The band brings fun, passion, and soul to all the styles they play. Whether it’s bars, clubs, festivals, embassies or private parties, they light up the stage and will get everyone up, rocking along. 

Don

Hailing from Ghana, Don has been DJing since he was 16 years old. He specializes in hip-hop, reggaeton, Afrobeat, pop, trap, dancehall, EDM, hardstyle, dubstep, grime and drill. Since coming to China in 2010, Don has worked as a DJ and MC and performed at some of the biggest clubs and events in Beijing and beyond. 

DJ Monkey King

With over ten years of experience behind the decks, the alter ego of Leo Furioso is making his Burger Fest debut on day one of Juicy Burger Fest, Fri, Jul 7. He doesn’t fly on a cloud but his DJ sets will make you fly. His staff doesn’t grow but your music knowledge will. He doesn’t use kicks to fight demons, but to make the crowds dance. He doesn’t beat enemies but uses beats to bring people together. Regular burger eater, with a belly like Zhu Bajie, aka Pigsy, to prove it, and DJ in some of your favorite burger joints, think Side Street, Great Leap, and Slowboat, and get ready for the Funkiest Monkey from the West.

DJ Arquitect

A veteran of Beijinger events, Dairon Cardona, aka DJ Arquitect, will be joining us to finish off Day Two (Sat, Jul 8) of Juicy Burger Fest with a bang! One of Beijing’s most popular Latin music DJs, he plays a mix of Latin, Afro, Caribbean, and house music to create great energy on the dance floor.

DJ Enno Alpha

Another familiar face at Beijinger events, DJ Ennoe-Alpha will have the honor of closing out Burger Fest on Sunday, Jul 9. Be sure to expect, great tunes, loads of dancing and super high energy levels. DJ Ennoe-Alpha joined the entertainment scene in 2018. He taught himself how to blend in mixed tracks from listening to superstar DJs and car radio stations in numerous DJ mixes, and has dominated the popular Afrobeat hip-hop and reggae environment ever since. He blends a mix of tracks from genres such as reggae, reggae dub step, Afrobeat, deep house and funky house.

Dancing

EMASALSA

You might recognize EMASALSA and her amazing moves from Taco Fest, where she got the whole audience dancing! She’ll be back at Burger Fest this Fri, Jul 7, encouraging you all to get up and swing your hips. EMASALSA is led by Teacher Ema who has been promoting Latin American culture and music through dance for 19 years. She has worked with many Latin American embassies here in China and has taught thousands of students over the years.

Salasatime – Mapasalsero

Bringing salsa to the stage on Sat, Jul 8, Mapasalsero’s expert team of teachers from both China and Cuba will be showing off their dance moves and encouraging everyone to follow along. Mapasalsero are an authoritative Latin American music and dance cultural exchange center committed to promoting Latin American culture through Cuban salsa dance.

Sazon Cuban Dance

Our long-time friends and collaborators SAZON will be gracing the stage with their energetic dance moves on Sun, Jul 9. SAZON have been delivering the most up-to-beat Cuban dance culture and trends to China since 2016. They consist of professional Cuban dancers whose expertise is not limited to Cuban dance, but also includes popular dance styles from around the world. When they perform there’s sure to be plenty of laughs and fun.  

Entertainment

Do the Monkey Style 

In keeping with this year’s Juicy Burger Fest theme, we have some Journey to the West-inspired games for you to take part in! First up we have “Do the Monkey Style,” which will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. We’ll invite contestants up on stage to show off their best moves using a Monkey Staff. 

Magic Staff Limbo

How low can you go? Our second Journey to the West-themed activity is Magic Staff Limbo, taking place Saturday and Sunday at 5pm, which will see competitors trying to get as low as possible under our giant, and we truly do mean giant, Magic Staff. 

Fun Zone

Guanto Family Sports Center is bringing family fun once again with their Fun Zone. They’ll having things like mini-trampolines, burger jenga, and cornhole, plus a whole range of Journey to the West-related games. Also don’t forget that on Saturday and Sunday kids under 1.4 meters get in for FREE before 2pm!

Darts

Thanks to DARTSLIVE we will also have some electronic dartboards for you to try out your skills and challenge your friends.

Some vendors will also be doing an array of drinking games, activities and other fun things, so be sure to keep an eye out for those during the festival.

The Beijinger's 2023 Juicy Burger Fest is happening on Fri, Jul 7 from 3pm to 9pm, and Sat, Jul 8-Sun, Jul 9, from 11am to 9pm at Xidianjiyi FunsTown in Gaobeidian. Standard early bird tickets start at RMB 25/person and can be purchased by scanning the QR code in the poster.
