White Box Museum of Art

White Box Museum of Art is located in Beijing 798 art district, on a site that was previously a Bauhaus- influenced factory area, which was designed by East Germany in 1952. Based on the abandoned military factory, White Box Arts and Culture Cooperation invested to redesign and develop it into a maximum amount of hanging exhibition space, with the intention of remaining the essence of these original structures.

The old stone entrance leads to a chic modern bar serving brilliantly crafted cocktails like lychee mojitos (RMB 45) made with fresh chunks of lychee, and seasonal fruit vodkas (RMB 50). Traditional types can try a classic gin and tonic (RMB 35), or choose from a large selection of imported wines to pair with the cheese, salami, olive and French bread platter (RMB 50).

Club Glen

Club Glen is for fans who like Glen so much that they want that feeling all of the time. Membership in this exclusive modernist lounge will set you back RMB 28,000 – much of your stake is redeemable behind the bar. Admittedly, that kind of outlay is not for everyone, but if you do have change floating around, then it will get you some peace and quiet to drink in. It’s a shame that most of us will have to pray for a lottery win to experience it.
