LOVE is BLUE

Go on a journey to the four corners of your imagination, with our contemporary artists. Art-Des selected for this Summer exhibition, artists who see life through blue & love.

When we talk about blue, we immediately think of the sky and the sea ... two natural elements that are part of our daily lives. This may be one of the reasons why blue is often a preferred color.

Blue is a symbol of truth, like limpid water that can not hide anything. It is omnipresent around us. Blue is the echo of life, travel and discoveries

The exhibition "LOVE is BLUE" is like the water that quenches, the blue has a small refreshing and pure side which allows to find a certain inner calm related to the deep things.

Tube Station Weigongcun branch

Tube X ROBBBB

Dec 14-16 @ TubeStation Weigongcun branch

Tube Station is cooperating with the “notorious artist on the Ruins” ROBBBB to have the entire Weigongcun location demolished, re-created, and change Tube Station Pizza to another form of street art on display.

This restaurant has been there for 10 years, and the location is about to be demolished along with the rest of the street. We are going to give this piece of Beijing another meaning at the last min of its existence, which combines food, art and street culture together.

ROBBBB is going to use “colors” to penetrate a part of the capital city, to destroy the restaurant, and to carry out a formal farewell to this street. He will create a special memory to the end and final meaning to that building before its demise.

Dec 14, 7pm. Opening Party. FREE drinks and FREE flow pizza.

His piece Ishvara is based on a two-hour performance he created that’s filled with insane psychedelic motifs, conceptual burlesque, and a thick layer of choice camp. It is a sight to behold, and impossible to give it justice with words alone. Maybe akin to being trapped in a haunted head shop with an army of bad mannered juggalos .

Faurschou Foundation is happy to present the first solo exhibition with the world-renowned artist Yoko Ono in Beijing. The exhibition will offer the public an opportunity to participate in her interactive art and take part in her honest and utopian, yet forceful, universe and life philosophy.

The exhibition shows a variety of works from Yoko Ono's extensive artistic career, and includes important pieces from her early Fluxus and Conceptual work. Ideas, rather than materials, make up the core of Yoko Ono’s art. Based on verbal or written instructions for actions that are utopian, ephemeral and performable, Yoko Ono presents viewers with art which becomes a shared mental or physical experience.

Yoko Ono is a present-day living icon. She manages to constantly develop and renew an outstanding artistic oeuvre, making her a pioneer – one of very few women - in the field of avant-garde art practice, as well as in the field of music, film, and the peace movements, she is also a feminist pioneer. Her art is participatory, engaging and carries a subtle sense of humor. It is also life-affirming with a strong social and political reference motivated by profoundly human concerns. With a starting point in the desire to make a difference, her art has been called ground-breaking and controversial, influencing that of Fluxus, whose manifesto includes the call to “promote a revolutionary flood and tide in art, promote living art, anti-art” by removing the art from the sublime and sacred object towards the fundamental idea. This notion also links to her cultural background of Zen Buddhism, which essence is self-reflection and meditation with the aim to free the soul from earthly fetters.

Idiosyncrasy and vicissitude had combined to stamp Yoko Ono as an exceptional being. She fights for her ideal without a trace of cynicism and creates lasting symbols. In recent years, Yoko Ono’s work and herself as an artist are starting to get the recognition deserved. During her life with John Lennon, she and Lennon were particularly involved in peace activities and they spread her philosophy of charity and tolerance. By the 1970s, they had become a symbol of the International Peace Movement. A message that Yoko Ono still continues to spread to this day.

Gen Gallery in Beijing’s 798 Art District.

Artist: Li Ruoheng Curator: Xia Kejun Producer: Rou Qiang

Exhibition Dates: June 12 – August 9, 2026 Opening Reception: 4:00-5:30 PM, June 14, 2026

Gen Gallery is honored to present Li Ruoheng’s solo painting exhibition Matador, curated by Professor Xia Kejun. The exhibition will run from June 12 to August 9, 2026, with the opening reception scheduled for 4:00 PM on June 14 at Gen Gallery in Beijing’s 798 Art District.

In 2025, Li Ruoheng held the first stop of her world touring exhibition at the bullring in Madrid. She became the first female Eastern artist to hold a solo exhibition at this historic venue since its completion in 1929. Through her work, she shared Chinese artistic sensibilities and Eastern aesthetics with Spanish audiences. This Beijing leg of the tour brings the passion of bullfighting back to Beijing.

Li Ruoheng employs precious materials such as gold, pearls, mother-of-pearl, and gemstones, combined with enamel techniques and her self-developed three-dimensional carving methods, to vividly render the ornate details of bullfighting attire. The exhibition features six large-scale portraits of matadors from different countries, showcasing unique cultural narratives while paying homage to art history and its masters.

We warmly welcome friends from around the world to join this cultural celebration.

The opening event is free of charge, with complimentary drinks, snacks, and Spanish music.
The exhibition remains open until August 9, Tuesday to Saturday, 11am–5pm. Closed on Mondays.
