Fresh off appearing on the smash hit TV show "The Bands of Summer," Queen Suitcase are set to invade Beijing!

Formed in 2005, the Taiwanese indie rockers dabble in everything from blues to surf rock to r&b and more.

Meanwhile ------Every Sunday we have a selection of upbeat swing tunes (Big Band, Gypsy Jazz, etc.) for those who love vintage jazz, whether just to lay back and listen or to let those happy feet loose on the dance floor.

Swing Dance is a partnered social dance originated in Harlem, New York (USA) and was especially popular throughout the 1920s-1950s. It's a partnered social dance based on leading and following, and danced to jazz music from the same era (mainly Big Band swing). It's a very fun and diverse dance, including many elements combined in a free improvisational manner.

Today many swing dancers all around the world enjoy dancing various styles, including Charleston, Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa and a few others. On Tuesdays the BRICKS hosts Lindy Hop classes and party, and now on Sundays we introduce another swing style called BALBOA. Balboa is a type of Swing dance, originated in Southern California during the 1920s and 1930s and gained in popularity in the 1930s and 1940s. It is danced primarily in close embrace to upbeat swing music. This dance is fully improvisational and can be quite energetic yet elegant.

是由北京八位非常有市里的爵士音乐家共同通组成的，这只乐队成立的目的是希望在经典的STANDARD中血爪新的可玩性，和在中国音乐中加入JAZZ元素，这些全新的编曲和有趣的尝试，是这些音乐家组建这支这支乐队的初衷。

自2016年成立以来，JMC就成为活跃在京城舞台上的一直个性鲜明的乐队组合，从John Coltrane的作品开始，乐队持续改变了Wayne Shorter，Thelonious Monk，Chick Corea，Vernon Duke ，Ray Henderson ，Duke Ellington。Antonic Carlos Jobim

Théo Duboule European 4tet is a band born in 2018 in Switzerland. The 4 french and swiss musicians are all very active on the european jazz scene, but still figured out to find 4 months in 2019 to go to China and play there almost every night. Their music is made of jazz standards and originals, sometimes inspired by pop music among other things.

This acoustic duo began with two players who just wanted to write and play songs that told the true stories. Dooder brought his cajon, his guitar and his soul man style. Kamau brought his guitar and vocals. Together, the duo started crafting songs that weave funk rhythms and blues to bring to stage songs like "While We Were Sleeping," "If I Told You I Love You," "Dream Song," and "You're the One."

They bring the funk. They bring the fire. They bring the feeling that you're feeling in your bones as you're reading through their bio.
