WHAI was founded in 2012 by four Chinese ethnic artists back grounds, each playing original music with distinctly Chinese elements.

WHAI plays a mixture of Trip-Hop,Dance,Chinese folk,Psychedelic, Avantgarde,Experimental,Rock,Industrial,Techno and Noise.However,their sound cannot be boxed into one category;it flows free like the songs' subject matters which range from China to phoenixes to the meaning of life. WHAI's music is dark yet dreamy,transporting those who listen to a mysterious world where anything is possible. Like its members who do their own thing despite societal pressure,WHAI's music refuses to be shaped by rules and predetermined norms. WHAI also incorporates techno music,thanks to special guest member Mickey Zhang. Mikey Zhang is one of the most influential DJs in Asia,who's influence on the Asian,especially the Chinese electronic music scene,cannot be over stated. Those who choose to listen can fly to another world while moving to the beats.

Jukka Ahonen ：

有丰富的演奏朋克，progressive, kraut, space, 民谣，爵士，蓝调等音乐的经验。作为作曲家，除了为乐队写作外，还有兴趣对结构（aleatory）和复杂的节奏（polyrhytms，polymeters 和 odd time）以及不同的语调（只是语调和泛音）进行研究。除了吉他，他还演奏钢琴，长笛和贝斯。

Jukka Ahonen plays guitar, bass, keyboards some flutes and composes music. He has a history of playing musics like punk, progressive rock, krautrock, spacerock, post-rock, folk, jazz, blues.

As a composer, besides writing for bands, he is interested about experimenting with structure (aleatory) and unusual rhythmic textures (polyrhytms, polymeters, and odd time) as well as different intonations (just intonation and overtones) and improvisation.

Jukka majored in Music Anthropology but studied playing instruments by himself. He has been playing guitar since the mid 90’s and teaching guitar since 2012.

SASO:

SASO is a singer and a songwriter from Uganda. His powerful vocals and expressive-baritone breaks through various genres of music and can be heard through the work he has shared on Sound Cloud.

Saso’s writing can be characterized as expressive, breathtaking and captivating. He has written music about love, heartache, loneliness, happiness and pain.

“I tend to look at music as a vessel through which I pour my heart and expose my soul.”

SASO has done a number of shows in Beijing and also been at open mics, collaborated with different musicians and artists

赛索是一个来自乌干达的歌手和唱作人。他的富有能量的嗓音和强大的表现欲让他跨越所有音乐风格，你可以在soundcloud上听到他的作品。

ALI:

Ali，一嘴京片子和异域的长相毫无违和感，少年时古典吉他出身，在多年经历了流行爵士黑怕等风格的暴虐后老老实实的回到了尼龙弦的音色。每个人对音乐的认识不尽相同，是画面？是境界？是冥思？因人而异，对Ali音乐代表着故事，他很乐意和大家分享他音色中的历史或者现编的exp。

郁林简介

独立音乐人,同时被人称为行吟歌手民谣诗人等等.

曾组建三支民谣摇滚乐队并由行者乐栈独立发行四张个人专辑及一本诗集.

并以专辑为主题做过四次巡演并踏遍了全国livehouse的舞台，足迹遍布各地穿行于大大小小的城市。

其作品简单粗砺厚重有力,是大道至简大音声希的一个很好的诠释.

代表作:〈一路行吟》 〈用骨头去呻吟》《金顶山的脚下》《李梅庄》《跌落尘世的游魂》。。。

We've been here for almost 11 years now since June 1st of 2008. This was the special spot of local rock'n roll scene where people who liked the place called it "Utopia", and one of the important land marks of subcultures，and without a doubt the spiritual home to most of its fans.

Every Wednesday of the week, here comes all types of artists who are local or international to gather here and share the stage. They are musicians, singers, poets, comedians, instrumentalists, freestyle rappers, b-boxers, dancers and sometimes DJs, not only to share the joys but also make friends.

Starts from 9 pm and onwards, for all the people who love stage,

And from time to time, if we spot some very potential talents who are better to meet more audience, we'd like to invite them to our monthly hosted event " Cangku'stock" and help them to build up their fan base and ready for bigger stage in the future.

and with our 11th year's anniversary on June 1st, we decided to have a special edition this month on 31st, we wish to see y'all good friends who support us always and share the celebratory moment.

李尔杨：

李尔杨在北京新生代的独立音乐人中，是极富有颠覆性的一位。不同音乐风格的不断探索，声音的构建和拆解，吉他演奏语言的不断突破，都无法使他满足。地下音乐现场的磨砺，使他不断的反思，从狂躁的极简的，轰鸣堆积的声音实验，到平静的，融合世界音乐与传统音乐元素的新尝试。

达恩克·努尔兰

达恩克·努尔兰哈萨克音乐人，吉他手,自幼学习传统乐器冬不拉，17岁起跟随名师专攻古典吉他专业，后由于对吉普赛弗拉门戈音乐的热爱，开始转向弗拉门戈吉他的专业演奏,他娴熟的演奏技巧、直指人心的音乐表现力以及出色的乐感，他用美妙的琴声和岁月的歌声分享着来自哈萨克民族内心的⾳乐。

SJ BENNE:

SJ Benne is a multi instrumental musician who is stepping out from her current band, The Flipside, to showcase her solo vocal looping originals. SJ is an experienced singer, spoken word artist, and songwriter from Memphis, TN who has a music degree and years of performing everything from Jazz to Funk to Reggae. She has founded and fronted several bands in her music career and has performed all over the world. Her complex vocal layers paired with her deep, poetic lyrics are uniquely soul-stirring and her genuine stage presence guarantees a meaningful music experience

Chris Perry：

Chris is an English northener based in Beijing. He is the frontman of the grunge punk band, Reprobates. He is the permanent host of Paddy O'Sheas Open Mic every thursday. Playing solo and with his band, he always aims to inspire and have a good time. With musical inspirations coming from everything from Abba to Zappa, he has an ear for many different styles. Chris lives by his honest and working class roots, he works hard and plays harder.

Three Mosquitoes：

3 mosquitoes:best funk rock groovy band from mars. Playing a set list filled with both covers and original songs. On a looping never ending parallel universal cosmic tour on planet earth. God save the doggo.

This Saturday at Bracket Jess and Doug will play jazz tunes that have love lust melodies, heartache and love crashes. Learn more about the passions of jazz, the basics of jazz and the heart hazards expressed in jazz.

About the player:

Singer: Jess Meider
One of China’s best jazz vocalists, Jess has spent 20 years gracing stages, festivals andmusic venues all over China with her amazing voice. She moves between her jazz quartet, her singer-songwriter project and her electronic band, “Chinatown” Aresident jazz artist for Beijing’s acclaimed East Shore Jazz Club for 4 years, she has also shared the stage with highly popular vocalist Gong Lin Na, sung for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, performed at an event for Quincy Jones and has appeared for the highly popular Midi Music Festival shows all over China.

Guitar : 马思道（Doug Martin）
American Jazzguitarist Douglas Martin, started studying music at age 12. Growing up in the San Francisco area of California he was fortunate to be exposed to live jazz and blues from a very early age.

Ever since 2012, Doug has been the lead guitarist for the swing band, Hot Club of Beijing. HCOB performs all over China and has won Beijing City Weekend Magazine three times in 2011, 2012 and 2016. The famous musical instrument brand Eastman named one of their gypsy jazz guitars after his name.

Bass: 徐广君（ET）
Guangjun Xu (ET), a great talent bass player who lives in Beijing. He studied traditional Chinese music with his father when he was a boy. Guangjun Xu started to performon stage when he was 17 years old, he has been cooperated with many world wellknown Jazz music to perform the Jazz music.
