Cosmic Project is a bit hard to categorize or stuff inside one genre. Composed of Boxuan (Nova Heart, ex-Hedgehog, etc.) and artist Gene (ex-Casino Demon among other projects), Cosmic Project create world music with electro experimental classical vibes using a multitude of different instraments. In their short history the band has already been invited to play in France and the festival circuit in China. As the band does not gig around much because of their busy schedules, don't miss this opportunity to catch them at School Bar for this special showcase show.

This year, Zilong Brazil (company from AleAmazonia, drummer of Shanghai punk band Dirty Fingers), will have its debute as China tour producer, bringing to the middle kingdom the Brazilian jazz bossa-nova group, “Brasil In Trio” for 6 concerts between Beijing and Shanghai.

The group “Brasil In Trio” works consists of a diversity of Brazilian rhythms such as Choro, Samba, Maxixe, Maracatu, Baião, Bossa-Nova and a bit of Jazz. Formed in 2007, the trio presents a traditional work regarding brazilian’s popular music but spices it up with modern and innovative aspects without breaking away from tradition. “Brasil In Trio” consist as Everton Luiz (saxophone and flute), Diego Amaral (percussion) and Julio Lemos (7-string guitar), the three musicians are also music teachers at the Federal University of Goiás, in Brazil.

Trio Sol

was formed in 2015 as a collaboration of internationally award winning artists

Marisol Lee (violin) ,

Jacob Shaw (Cello) and Young Kwon Choi (piano).

Named after the violinist and the Costa del Sol where they first collaborated, they share a love of chamber music and the art of piano trios.

Trio Sol has been resident artists at the Salida Del Sol Festival (Marbella, Spain) since its inception and continues their third year of residency in 2018. They have performed at the
Seoul Spring Chamber Music Festival, Olympus Chamber Music Series, Yonsei Alumni Series,
"Daejoen International Chamber Music Festival" and the "Daejoen Biennale" in South Korea where they are currently based.
Since 2016, they present an annual concert series under the name of Trio Sol & Friends at
the Seoul Arts Center, performing a variety of works in different chamber music formats
alongside internationally renowned colleagues. Previous series have included the complete cycles of piano quartets by Johannes Brahms and piano trios of Dmitri Shostakovich, along side other chamber works.
Upcoming performances include the Beethoven triple concerto with the Korean Chamber Orchestra and the Busan Philharmonic at the Maru International Music Festival, as well as tours to France, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Young Clan takes over Mix Gongti on July 6th, bringing their rappers and MCs to the stage. Catch artists DOMLE, EVOL, BeCareful, UglyZ, Coach D and more at this hip hop and rap night. Your ticket also gets you access to open bar for the evening.

The D.O.G. crew launch their latest outing of Punk Rock Tribes, this time at two locations and times: Yugong Yishan at 3pm and School at 6pm.

The Yugong Yishan leg includes the easy-going rockers Casino Demon, anti-establishment veterans Gum Bleed, red-blooded J-pop punk favorites Finger Family, as well as punk legends Underbaby and special guests Kawa, a reggae rock outfit making the trek up from Yunnan.

This chamber concert will feature four representative masterpieces from the Classical, the Romantic, and the Modern period. Within one hour, you will experience the whole range of Western classical music from France, Russia, Germany and Austria. Please join us for an extraordinary evening of chamber music with two Yale alumni and a Yale student.
