Trio Sol

was formed in 2015 as a collaboration of internationally award winning artists

Marisol Lee (violin) ,

Jacob Shaw (Cello) and Young Kwon Choi (piano).

Named after the violinist and the Costa del Sol where they first collaborated, they share a love of chamber music and the art of piano trios.

Trio Sol has been resident artists at the Salida Del Sol Festival (Marbella, Spain) since its inception and continues their third year of residency in 2018. They have performed at the
Seoul Spring Chamber Music Festival, Olympus Chamber Music Series, Yonsei Alumni Series,
"Daejoen International Chamber Music Festival" and the "Daejoen Biennale" in South Korea where they are currently based.
Since 2016, they present an annual concert series under the name of Trio Sol & Friends at
the Seoul Arts Center, performing a variety of works in different chamber music formats
alongside internationally renowned colleagues. Previous series have included the complete cycles of piano quartets by Johannes Brahms and piano trios of Dmitri Shostakovich, along side other chamber works.
Upcoming performances include the Beethoven triple concerto with the Korean Chamber Orchestra and the Busan Philharmonic at the Maru International Music Festival, as well as tours to France, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Peace and Wave formed on a rainy Valentine's Day in 2015, and have since been on a slow rise to the top of the underground scene in Shanghai. Having opened for the likes of Casino Demon, Chengdu's Mosaic, Click#15, and many other touring bands that trek through Shanghai, word of mouth about this five piece has spread all across China. School Bar was impressed with what we've heard, and invited Peace and Wave up to play our 8 Year Anniversary Party at the end of April (2018) this year. Blown away by the band, School Bar has invited Peace and Wave back to Beijing for a summer showcase show this Saturday!

Don't miss out on the funky punky surfy dance rock vibes of Peace and Wave!

Singer / songwriter Eric Allen brings the soulful sounds of America's heartland to the Beijing stage. In the spirit of southern blues and cowboy / outlaw country, Eric Allen played to audiences in New York's Greenwich Village for years. Now he performs throughout Beijing in the traditions of Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, and classic blues legends such as Robert Johnson, Lightnin' Hopkins, Muddy Waters, and Buddy Guy.

Great Buffalo Blues started out with two players who just wanted to write and play songs that told the true stories, and then they expanded into a three piece electric blues band. Dooder brought his cajon, his guitar and his soul man style. Kamau brought his guitar and vocals. They bring the funk. They bring the fire. They bring the feeling that you're feeling in your bones as you're reading through their bio.

Joy Stuhr (Wisconsin, USA) is a professional musician and teacher, who has taught and performed in Panama, NYC, Ghana, and Germany. She has been located in Beijing since September 2016. While being a multi-lingual, multi-instrumentalist (pianist, cellist, singer and songwriter), her musical style clearly reflects her life experiences and has become a unique blend that combines a classical upbringing with NYC jazz and sounds from around the world.

Echo Flower is from Tampa, Florida, USA. The duo has been performing together in Beijing and the US since 2012. Orlinda's soulful vocals and Keith's accompanying bluesy guitar are featured in their original songs and favorite cover tunes and add up to a genre they like to call "Psychedelic Soul / R&B." See these artists live at Jianghu on June 22nd.
