Sejin Bae is a Korean jazz pianist, composer and arranger who received her bachelor’s degree in jazz performance at one of the most famous and competitive colleges in Seoul, The Dongduk Women’s University; there she was awarded many scholarships to attend and graduated with honors. Wanting to further pursue her music education, she moved to New York City in 2010 to attend graduate school at Queens College. At Queens College she had the privilege to study with David Berkman, Jeb Patton, Michael Mossman, Antonio Hart and Johannes Weidenmuller. During her time in New York City, she participated in many gigs, concerts and master classes.

After completing her Master’s degree at Queens College, she returned to Korea and began teaching music at several colleges in Seoul and Daegu, as well as frequently performing at some of the most well-known venues in Korea; participating in broadcasts, festivals and recording sessions. In addition to jazz, she is also a member of the famous Korean latin band “Pinar Del Rio” and has worked with several famous Korean jazz vocalists. In 2016, Sejin participated on the soundtrack to the Hong Kong film, “Our Time will Come”. To date, Sejin Bae has performed all of the world including the United States, Korea, Japan and China.

Sejin is currently living in Beijing performing with some of the finest musicians and many others at venues like the Blue Note, East Shore, DDC, Bricks, Jianghu, etc. and currently holds a teaching position at the Contemporary Music Academy. In addition, She had recently performed with Mark Turner and Michael Mossman with Blue Note Beijing Jazz Orchestra, Jz Festival, and Changchun Jazz Festival etc.

Beijing label D.O.G. was formed by friends in 2011 after booking punk shows around Beijing, and thereafter in 2014 D.O.G. held its inaugural "Punk Rock Spring" indoor festival. In 2017 the name was changed to the current "Punk Rock Tribes," as this is a better way to describe our goal of holding "punk rock" gatherings for all the different punk tribes across China. Last month over the May 1 holiday at the Midi Festival in Suzhou, D.O.G. curated the first ever punk stage at a major music festival in China - the "Punk Rock Tribes" stage. In early June "Punk Rock Tribes" converged on Wuhan for a Saturday of shenanigans, and later this summer will also hold "Punk Rock Tribes" stops in Shanghai and Zhengzhou.

On June 16 at Yugong Yishan and School Bar, join us for the Beijing stop of this years "Punk Rock Tribes" festival!

The organizers regret to announce that Azure Ray's Beijing gig has been canceled.

Dream pop duo Azure Ray takes the stage at Tango 3F on June 23rd. Artists Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink met at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, fronted the band Little Red Rocket in the 1990s and then decided to make a new kind of music with Azure Ray in 2001. Taylor Swift included one of their tracks on a breakup playlist.

THE RADIANCE

formed in Beijing by singer/songwriter Miranda Vukasovic in 2015, creates music through a kaleidoscope of fragile emotions, including art and visual projects into their performances.

THE RADIANCE produced their first LP at the Forbidden City Studio in Beijing during 2016. The same year THE RADIANCE was invited to perform their music in one of the most exciting venue in Beijing, the "Temple of Wisdom", a 250 years old Buddhist temple.

THE LYRICS narrates experiences of freedom and life, between the boundaries of control obsessed society. THE RADIANCE is exploring the possibilities of powerful relationship among the sounds from around the world. Each project is unique and try to awaken a different experience each time, THE RADIANCE has performed with different visual artist and musicians.

Miranda is currently working on collection of poems and stories "Gold shaded Moon" which will be published this year, as well as " A mile in our Shoes " co-writer of the book along with 11 women from around the world that will be published in September and all the donations will help young women around the world.

THE MUSIC holds multiple sounds from throughout the world, touching electronic and RnB, classic rock and post grunge, blues and psychedelic rock.
