New born DJ from FlashBack. Lover of street dance. She studied Piano and classic music from childhood. And form a rock band as a vocal/bassist. Absorbing inspiration from different kinds of music genres to control the dance floor. Has an unique keen sense of music. Inspired by underground music, active in different music scenes, she expressed herself with music and became a DJ.  Keen on Retro-futurism and bass music.

A 7-year romantic DJ, has evolved from controlling your legs to poking straight inside your heart since the creation of the brand FlashBack. Nihongtianxin and Sunny are his favorites songs.Vintage is his attitude. But.The Evolution is his pursuit actually.

Roots Train - A night bringing you the best of roots, reggae,  dub, and anything close or in between, from a group of the cities best selectors. Warning the Roots Train will be travelling from 65| bpm up to speeds of 100bpm and beyond so be sure do get to the station early and strap into your seats.

Liu Peiyi, jazz saxophone player and composer. "Antigua" saxophone global endorsement musician.

In 2010, he received a scholarship and was admitted to the Berkeley Conservatory of Music in the United States, under the tutelage of jazz saxophonist George Garzone, jazz educators Ed Tomassi, Hal Crook, and Dr. Shannon LeClaire. In 2013, he received a bachelor's degree in jazz saxophone performance from the institute. In 2014, he recorded and published his first jazz album "15 Years" in Boston. In 2017, he won a scholarship and was admitted to the New England Conservatory of Music. Saxophone pioneer musicians Mark Turner, Miguel Zenon, and followed Ken schaphorst and Frank Carlberg to learn jazz composition, also studied a one-year band rehearsal course in the band class of legendary jazz drummer Bob Moses, and received a master's degree in jazz performance from the institute in 2019 . In 2019, he recorded and completed his second original jazz album "Flow of Soul" in Boston. As a professional saxophone player, Liu Peiyi lives in the United States all year round, and has maintained cooperation with international musicians and has been well received. In 2019, he played with contemporary legendary jazz bass musician Dave Holland at the Brown Concert Hall in Boston. In 2013, he cooperated with Wealter Beasley's classic work "Free" by Wealter Beasley, a famous American saxophonist. Liu Peiyi held saxophone lectures and special concerts in many music colleges in China, including Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Xi'an Conservatory of Music, Xinjiang The School of Art, the Music School of Northwest University for Nationalities, and the Beijing Midi School of Music. Many of the students he has taken have been successfully admitted to the Berkeley Conservatory of Music in the United States and the Prince Claude Conservatory of Music in the Netherlands.

This will be the second solo album "Flow Of Soul" (a conversation in the depths of the soul) recorded by the jazz saxophonist and composer Liu Peiyi in Boston in 2019. This is a record of his years of studying jazz in the United States. Personal experience, as well as the original album of jazz teaching in China and the United States in recent years, and the precipitation and thinking of cultural exchanges

Sharina is a young teacher at Beijing Modern Music Academy. He graduated from Zhejiang Conservatory of Music with a bachelor's degree and graduated with a master's degree from the China Conservatory of Music.

Guitarist Jing Zhang is a well-known figure in the Beijing jazz community. Known especially for his rhythmic comping uniqueness and stylistic compositions. Most of Jing’s music combined eastern melodic line and Jazz-influenced harmonies. Since moving to the capital of China in 2017, Jing has played at every major jazz venue in the area. In addition to performing, Jing is also a music producer and educator.

Since 2017, Jing has joined the faculty at Contemporary Music Academy of Beijing. In 2019, he has signed up as an artist of Pollux Music under Modern Sky label and recorded a Jazz album “Depends on what you hear” with his Krystal Organic Trio, the album contains 9 original tracks. At the same year he has became an endorser of the guitar brand D’ANGELICO in China area.

Jing holds a BA in Jazz Studies from Xinghai Conservatory in Canton, a Master's Degree in Jazz performance from Northern Illinois University in Chicago.

Han

He has been exposed to percussion since he was a child and started to learn percussion. He is a young jazz musician who likes traditional jazz very much, but he does not stick to a musical style. In 2016, he came to the Beijing Institute of Modern Music to study jazz. He loves to study. He tries to integrate various complicated and changeable musical techniques into the music he performs, and constantly breaks through himself. Under the tutelage of jazz drum player Shao Haha, he has followed many influential musicians (J Kyle, Simone shirru, Su Chang, etc.) to learn composition, jazz harmony, ensemble and improvisation theory. Excellent large-scale teamwork.

Tokyo Brothers are back to Modernista this Thursday, with authentic Okinawa folk songs and original world music for you. Now that most of us have our eyes fixed on Tokyo Olympic Games, why not try some Japanese music as well? The band is leaving Beijing and this would also be their farewell night. Don’t miss it.
