Come enjoy the jazz-influenced trip-hop/neo-soul sounds of The Jared Lang Band, who will be performing live at The Bricks on Saturday 12 March.

The Jared Lang Band combines jazz, hip hop, funk and R&B - sometimes exciting and energetic, sometimes downtempo and cool.

A group of excellent musicians who are all established in their own right, Jared’s original music is influenced by artists such as Portishead, The Cinematic Orchestra, Herbie Hancock, Massive Attack, the Herbaliser and Miles Davis.

With vocalist Tea Lončar, saxophonist Dean Mongerio, pianist/keyboardist (and composer/songwriter) Jared Lang, bassist Connor Chappelle, and drummer Guy Mabanza, The Jared Lang Band has performed at various Beijing venues such as Tokyo Lounge, Modernista, The Bricks, and Jianghu Bar.

This Saturday kicks off a new beginning with the return of the Mighty POPASUDA Sound. Dj Skinny Brown hits the decks for an epic 8 hour set playing global sounds bassed-up for the dancefloor. Expect West African house/tech, GQOM, Global Bass, Baile Funk and a stack of floor filling sounds with a cultural touch. As always, it should be a big one. 

Kongsent A member of BBB crew, an island musician in the concrete forest.

He is also a stand-up comedy artist after drunk and a heavy reggae addict. He Dmainly focuses on dub to extend the evolution of life into the music. 

Kongsent is one of the founding members of the latest incarnation of "BBB" music club in Beijing. His musical roots are in Reggae music. He also co-founded the "DK16" electronic live group with Davecoin(David Bond), a British- American keyboard player. Due to the influence of Reggae music on him, he is now mainly spinning Dub records on vinyl. When it comes to electronic music, he delves into Dub Techno, Ambient Techno and more extreme Dark Techno. As a music producer, he has come from behind the scene and is excited to share his music with you.

A scene that explores darkness and noise with sound and vision to open up your new sensory experience!

This is a show of "not necessarily certain" and "certain not necessarily"!

The former means that the three veterans who are "not necessarily" will play together, and the "certainly" staged will be a wonderful show! The latter means: Maybe you will think that the three familiar ones join forces again, and the "certain" act is what you know. In fact, this is the most "not necessarily" thing.

Previously, the three participated in the "Jia Ma" series of "Wenwu Jizo", "Princess Iron Fan", "Sanji", "Wu Hu Ma Qianjin Qiu" and other scenes, but they have not yet joined forces in [Jia Ma]. .

According to Brother Quan, the last time the three were on the same stage dates back to the 798 "not necessarily" band scene in 2008 (maybe many people have seen the video at that time). That is, 14 years have passed... they represent an era.

Many people may think that that era has passed, but in fact, an era of inheriting the past and opening up the future has just begun! They are still leaders and trendsetters! That being the case, there's not much to say. For [Celestial and Martial Archer] , there is nothing but expectations!
