景德镇文艺复兴乐队

来自于江西景德镇，这是一座以宋真宗皇帝年号命名的南方小城，因盛产瓷器而闻名于世。此地原名昌南镇，据说“China”一词也是来源于昌南的读音，而 china 亦同时有瓷器之意。

文艺复兴乐队风格被评价为极具景德镇山水韵味和人文色彩。

同时因现场音乐结合了实验性的戏剧表演，又被戏称为赣东北乡土文化艺术团。

作为2016年地球春浪大赏大陆地区的首个总冠军乐队，文艺复兴的作品有难得的原创性。将后摇、民谣、中国文学、自创神话结合现代寓言，以及哲学思考融为一体。

这种自然而然的独特气质成就了景德镇文艺复兴，也让音乐逐渐突破地域化，开始被更多的人所喜爱。

他们巧妙地将世界音乐与自赏和摇滚混合在一起。虽然还在大学（他们的主唱今年刚刚二十岁），乐队已经为 SNSOS 和 BuPiShu 乐队做过开场乐队，令这两个乐队印象深刻。

Wen Yi Fu Xing is a band from Jingdezhen, China’s “Capital of Porcelain” in Jiangxi Province. Rooted in a small city rich in history and culture, Wen Yi Fu Xing is regarded as the musical name card for the city thanks to their style influenced by local culture.

What makes Wen Yi Fu Xing stand out is their innovative addition of experimental drama into their live music. They are the first mainland band to have been awarded as the crown band at the Spring Wave Music and Art Festival.

For their latest EP 云难Yún Nàn (Cloud Disaster), Wen Yi Fu Xing combines the elements of post-rock and folk music, creating singles as separate but related fairy tale allegories based on classic Chinese fables, and presenting them in the form of staged live performance.

All their innovative breakthroughs shape Wen Yi Fu Xing as a band with very individualized musical style beyond their regional barrier, and has led to them gradually gaining more popularity around the country.

The tour小歌行 Xiǎo Gē Xíng will feature singles selected from their debut EP 白纸Bái Zhǐ (White Paper), second EP 水码头 Huǐ Mǎ Tóu (Harbour), as well as their latest offering. Come to DDC for what’s sure to be a memorable show this Thursday, April 19. Check the website for more details and tickets.

Music scene staple and benefactor XiaoXiao has organized for famous American punk publication Tom Tom Magazine to make their maiden foray into China, and this at School Bar and Temple are holding gigs showcasing the ladies of the rock n' roll scene in China.

Set to play on this special night and making the trek in from Qingdao are female punk foursome Dummy Toys! Joining them and coming up from Shanghai are the much-hyped Ulgy Girls! Representing Beijing and playing in their home of School Bar are female punk outfits Free Sex Shop and Quick Shot!

In January 2018, Carmen Lundy received the RoundGlass Music Award for her song "Kumbaya" from Code Noir. In 2016 she was honored with the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award in Jazz by Black Women In Jazz and The Arts, in Atlanta, GA. Among her other awards and recognitions, especially rewarding was Miami-Dade's County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners proclaiming January 25th "Carmen Lundy Day”, along with handing Ms. Lundy the keys to the City of Miami.

As a composer, Ms. Lundy’s catalogue numbers over 100 published songs, one of the few jazz vocalists in history to accomplish such a distinction. Her compositions have been recorded by such artists as Kenny Barron, Ernie Watts, Terri Lyne Carrington, Straight Ahead and Regina Carter. Carmen’s far-reaching discography also includes performances and recordings with such musicians as brother and bassist Curtis Lundy, Ray Barretto, Bruce Hornsby, Mulgrew Miller, Kip Hanrahan, Courtney Pine, Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Cobb, Ron Carter, Robert Glasper, and the late Kenny Kirkland and Geri Allen among others.

Carmen Lundy’s work as a vocalist and composer has been critically acclaimed by Jazz Times, Downbeat, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Variety, The Washington Post, and Vanity Fair among others, as well as numerous foreign publications. The Japanese pop-rock group Scary Honey mixes pop, rock and emo, singing in English, Chinese and Japanese. See the five-woman act live at 69 Cafe on April 20th, where they’ll be joined by guitarist He Dazhao and his band.
