Pentatonic's New Year Eve Party

The pentatonic sound leaves plenty of room for your imagination.
 
Pentatonic is a guitarist who started a creative project in college, and officially formed a band in Beijing in the summer of 2008 and joined 1724 records. Released its debut EP "If You Don't Understand Then I Can't Explain to You" in June the following year. The single “You Build a House on my Back"It's a lot of people's first contact with the addicted repertoire. Interestingly, the Western-style narration of the English singing and lyrics led many listeners to believe that the band was a foreign band. The guitarist Xie Yugang also gave his only music review to this record.
 

After several personnel changes, Pentatonic stabilized to a five-man lineup: double guitars, keyboards, bass, drums. In 2012, he recorded his first full-length album, with Wang Zhixing as producer, and the master tape was completed at Grey Market Mastering in Canada. The full-length album, titled "Sydrome," was released on October 1, 2013 and features eight works from different periods of pentatonic music. Therefore, under the conceptual naming, "Syndrome" also takes on a different style of time, typical post-rock works, melancholy but elegant slow-core singing, and clever long multi-instrument sonata. Following the release of the album, Pentatonic also completed its first national tour.
