Wang ZongXing Jazz Quartet at The Bricks

Wang Zongxing, born on July 5, 1978, studied saxophone under Mr. Mi Heping, professor of Orchestra Department of Xi'an Conservatory of Music since the age of 13, and chose music as my future dream and pursuit. In 1997, he entered Beijing MIDI Music School to study jazz saxophone playing. He studied with Mr. Lu Tingquan, a famous jazz saxophonist and educator in China, and began to study jazz saxophone playing. Since 1999, he has been a saxophone player in China Oriental Performing Arts Group. Since 2009, he has been a saxophone teacher in the Jazz Department of Beijing Modern Music Conservatory.
Moved to New York in 2012, where he studied with jazz legend Barry Harris, jazz professor Antonio Hart, Professor of Composition (Grammy Award winner) Michael Mossman Jazz Saxophonist David Liebman and Berklee College of Music Jazz Professor George Garzone further studied composition, arrangement and bop jazz performance. By the end of 2015, they released their solo album "Mr. Wang."
