I. Categories

1. Amateur Group

Category 1 (Up to 6 years old)

Requirements: One piece of music with a time limit of 3 minutes

Category 2 (7 - 10 years old)

Requirements: One piece of music with a time limit of 4 minutes

Category 3 (11-14 years old)

Requirements: One piece of music with a time limit of 5 minutes

Category 4 (15 - 17 years old)

Requirements: One piece of music with a time limit of 8 minutes

Category 5 (18+ years old)

Requirements: One piece of music with a playing time limit of 12 minutes

2. Professional Group

Category 1 (10 - 16 years old)

Requirements: One piece of music with a performance time limit of 10 minutes

Category 1 (17+ years old)

Requirements: One piece of music with a performance time limit of 12 minutes

II. Performance Rules

1. Please prepare the complete repertoire as required and memorize the score throughout the performance.

2. The organizer only provides piano for the performance, if you need an auxiliary pedal, please prepare it by yourself, and ask the parents or accompanying people to place it.

3. Candidates are not allowed to change the repertoire temporarily, and Candidates must perform according to the repertoire which is reported in the registration form.

4. Piano Talent Committee is solely responsible for organizing audio and video recordings, television broadcasts, online transmissions, winners’ concerts and other related activities during the period of festival, and the copyright of all audio-visual products belongs to the committee.

5. Piano Talent Committee is the highest organization of this event, and the final interpretation of all matters related to the event belongs to the committee.

Seth popularly known as C.J is a classical jazz, hip hop Rnb pianist and singer born to a Ghanaian dad and a half American half Sierra Leone mom currently now in Beijing. Seth has played in various places in Beijing such as Modernista, Inception jazz bar, Lenores bar, Georgia feast, PH bar, Miles bar Peninsula hotel(Yun and Jing bar), Jam sessions, and Park Hyatt in Shenzhen. Moreover, he has been playing with a couple of bands such as Afro Gents, Simply jazz band, Fusion, Ember Swift band, One Drop band, RnV band, Noko fio band, Jazz Harmony band, and has performed with jazz, hip hop, and Rnb artists. He currently performs solo piano and songs on stages in Beijing.

Emily started performing and recording as a vocalist in Beijing more than 5 years ago. Her passion lies in jazz and mellow pop, building her own unique style with her gentle and elegant voice. 

As singers in the band Stevie Mac and the Mac Daddies, the a cappella group Jing Sing as well as various jazz duo and quartets, Emily performs regularly at Inception, Modernista, Tokyo Lounge, etc. She has also performed for corporate events such as the British Embassy Summer Garden, as well as the Swiss Chamber of Commerce Holiday Dinner.

Daren Burns is a composer and bassist from Los Angeles, California, and is currently residing in Beijing, China where he teaches music. An adventurous player, Daren has had an extensive career playing with many notable musicians such as: Mike Vax, Jack Petersen, Vinny Golia, Wadada Leo Smith, Spencer Day, Mike Keneally, and many others. 

More than 15 years of profesional experience, playing with many Bands and different styles of music, from Classical music to Jazz.

It's a brand new band, but with hundreds of performances

In 2017, Gao Yufeng (bass), who is already an independent musician, was invited to compose music and perform live for Meng Jinghui's new play "The Latest Concept of Love's Destiny", and Wei Xi (lead singer) and Zhang Zhiming (synthesizer/lead singer) were the two leading actors in this play. The success of the work has led to nearly <> performances of this play at home and abroad.

Time to 2022, after exploring different fields in previous years, Gao Yufeng began to plan to form a new band,

He found three people - Zhang Zhiming and Wei Xi hit it off as members of the former "drama band"; Xin Yi (drummer) has a sense of power, explosiveness and delicacy, and can master a variety of musical styles - the band is successfully formed.
