Teng Xiang

Teng Xiang is an auspicious flying animal featured in Chinese poetry, representing positive ambitions and wishes that can come true. Green defines the essence of nature and earthly vitality and is linked to the element to wood, which is represented in this cocktail by the bamboo base. A rich, fruity, vanilla bourbon base is exquisitely paired with Bamboo Leaf Green liquor, China's oldest herbal spirit. A homemade clarified ginger, mint and lemon syrup delivers a refreshingly tangy taste.

Xi Xiang

Xi Xiang describes the atmosphere that attracts people whose emotions are stimulated by fragrant aromas. Red is a historic symbol of good luck and joy in the hearts of Chinese people, and links to the fire element representing prosperity. Rose Fenjiu, a romantic blend of the famous clear liquor, is complemented by Campari macerated with organic hibiscus, creating a light sourness and an impassioned red tint. Served in a traditional Chinese red-covered bowl, this delicious floral cocktail provides double delight for the eyes and taste buds.

Nan Li

Nanli is an oasis that enables people to relax and commune with nature. Yellow symbolises splendour and hope and reflects the gold element. Chrysanthemum Baijiu has been distilled for generations and is protected by China’s national intangible cultural heritage programme. The Yun Summer Lounge mixologists freshen the palate with a fruit puree made from Beijing’s local Jingxi white pomelo without overpowering the Baijiu’s elegant flavour. A slightly sweet jasmine tea foam infuses the refreshing aftertaste.

Ying She

Ying She is associated with an abundance of rice and staple foods in Chinese poetry. The colour of rice is white, which signifies purity and brightness. The pure, ethereal notes of traditional Chinese rice wine are carefully mixed with Birch Tree Liquor from Sweden, which is subtly sweet with crisp, clean notes. A delicate layer of Mascarpone Cheese creates a gracefully smooth finish. The alluring combination of Chinese and Western ingredients mirrors the traditional and modern architecture of Yun Summer Lounge.

Xuan Wei

Xuan Wei is a generous host who treats guests with fine wines and hospitality. Xuan is black and links to the earth. Black conveys fortitude, calmness, and stability and is profoundly rooted in Chinese cultural heritage. For the base, we use black sesame, which has been widely cultivated in China since being introduced from India during the Han Dynasty. The black sesame tequila is mixed with grapefruit and rosemary-infused tonic water for a captivating aroma and zesty effervescence. A sumptuous sesame seed crunch adds an extra taste dimension on the palate.
