They’re big, they’re scary, and they’re back to life!!!!

Dinosaurs might be long gone but they’re making a comback, thanks to technology. Hear them roar at the Long Gone Dinosaurs: Large Panoramic Scientific Fiction Show at the Beijing National Indoor Stadium in the Olympic Green Park.

About 10,000 sqm of the stadium has been turned into a primitive scenery, and a specialized water system is being used to re-enact stormy conditions that occurred during the time of these mighty species. And if that doesn’t make you feel like on prehistoric Earth, just look above that you’ll be amazed at the whopping 6,000 sqm of high-definition LED that recreates a stellar vista of the sky to complement all the thumping and growling of wild dinosaurs below.

Feathers of Fire: A Persian Epic is a visually breathtaking cinematic shadow play for all ages, created and directed by Hamid Rahmanian, a 2014 Guggenheim fellowship-winning filmmaker/visual artist. The play unfolds an action-packed magical tale of star-crossed lovers from the 10th-century Persian epic Shahnameh (‘The Book of Kings’), – Zaul and Rudabeh, who triumph at the end against all odds. Rahmanian's graphics, derived from the visual tradition of the region, will be rendered as puppets, costumes, masks, scenography and digital animation, all of which will come to life in a “live animation” shadow casting technique perfected by shadow master Larry Reed on a cinema-size screen. The play also features an original score by the acclaimed musical team, Loga Ramin Torkian & Azam Ali. Feathers of Fire had its world premiere at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2016.

What: Bloody Mary, A Dinner & Show

Where: Caravan Restaurant, 44A Guanghua Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing

When: Saturday, December 22nd, 2018

Who: Beijing Fringe Theatre's Performance Troupe.

About: It is a dinner show, which combines a delightful concoction of murder, mystery, and mayhem with fine dining.

Synopsis: Our detectives are witty, and they are wacky, but they are determined to find Bloody Mary, the killer, who may be sitting right beside you.

The evening begins casually like any other, and before you can finish your hummus and delicious fatoush salad, your dinner mates are being stabbed, and detectives are rushing into the crime scene, where they will spend 3 hours of intense investigation.

They will interview you, interrogate you, and even accuse you of the most vicious crime - murder. But stay strong, as they will have a line up, and a re-enactment and will do everything that they can to track down the killer, which may exonerate you, or implicate you, as you picture may show up as evidence (we have our ways!) of your participation in the murder of the 3 victims.

There is no doubt that you will have a great time, but what is dubious is: Do you REALLY know the person you came with?

Everyone is a suspect.........You just don't know who to trust!

But remember you must DRESS TO KILL, as there is a prize for the best dressed ''detective-looking" type!

Prizes:

(1) The best dressed ''Sherlock Holmes" will be selected at the beginning of the show

(2) Two winners will be awarded a prize for accurately identifying the killer in the room. Prize will be awarded at the end of the show.

SHOW RESTRICTIONS: NO PETS, AND NO CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OLD
