Bloomberg Brauhaus

Located in CBD, Bloomberg Brauhaus is a German-inspired restaurant and brewery that hosts live music and darts competitions throughout the week. Aside from traditional German fare, they also offer Italian food, as well as a dedicated plant-based menu featuring Zrou. Enjoy daily happy hour and free-flow deals on their eight signature drafts, four of which are brewed on-site.

Paradise Dynasty

Paradise Dynasty serves a pan-Chinese cuisine that takes in everything from Cantonese dim sum to spicy Sichuan dishes. However, their signature is xiaolongbao, both the classic variety and the creative new colored versions they have come up with. Each of the eight colors has a different filling, with wrappers colored with all-natural ingredients such as spinach, wolfberries, or cuttlefish ink, as well as foie gras and black truffle flavored xiaolongbao.

Jing-A CBD

Located on the ground floor of the Kerry Center, this 京A outpost seats 260, features two bars, a comfy den/fireplace area, and has plenty of outdoor seating with direct views of the stunning Beijing skyline.

It’s powered by Beijing’s first “Flux Capacitor” tap system, which we pulled straight out of a sci-fi future. You’ll see the magic at work with the perfect pour in every glass.

Jing-A Taproom CBD

With three locations in the city, Jing-A Brewery offers thirsty locals a wide selection of craft beer, including plenty of creative single-batch and seasonal brews with Chinese characteristics.

The large 260+ seat bar and restaurant CBD taproom, located in the Kerry Center, features a unique food menu inspired by modern American grill and West-Coast gastropub cuisine.

The Maki

The Maki specializes in hand-rolled sushi and by that they mean sushi that is rolled by hand and meant to be eaten by hand. A prompt on the sushi bar (there are no tables, only bar seating) encourages you to eat each roll as quickly as possible when the nori wrapping is still fresh and you'll want to follow that advice as the rolls are indeed best when the crisp seaweed contrasts with the just-warm sushi rice.

Duo Whisky and Coffee

By day, Duo is a snugly intimate cafe. At night, one of its bookshelves pops out and reveals an elegant cocktail lounge. Drinks are expensive (north of RMB 100), but the atmosphere makes it worthwhile, including the wooden vintage T shaped island style bar, which sits in the middle of the room instead of a standard bar running paralell to the wall.

Straight Spirit

This CBD liquor shop sells whiskey and other spirits at rock bottom retail prices. A prime example is the Balvenie DoubleWood 12 (whiskey takes up the majority of the shop's inventory of 200 label varities, though there's also some other spirits and wines) that would set you back RMB 625 at many shops, but is instead RMB 578 for nonmembers at Straight Spirit, while members can a bottle home for RMB 376.

Swagat Indian Curry Factory
