For a restaurant dealing in a Malaysian specialty, this restaurant’s design is surprisingly reminiscent of a lao Beijing hole in the wall. The eponymous dish is a Malaysian stew of pork ribs cooked for several hours in a soup of medicinal herbs and served with a spicy dip of garlic and chilli. Bak kut teh dishes start at around RMB 50 for two diners and there’s also a seafood version. Vegetables can be added to the stew hot pot-style or ordered as separate dishes along with a selection of cold starters.
