This small restaurant’s boast is absolutely justified. Invincible's bowls of thin Japanese noodles in broth with meat, egg and vegetables (RMB 20-30) rival any in Beijing – the soy-flavored soup is solid and rich with layer upon layer of flavor. Simple maki and nigiri (RMB 8-12) make inexpensive side dishes, and there are fruit slushy desserts (including cranberry and mulberry) and shochu to drink. A must-go for noodle lovers, and well worth the taxi fare to Xiaoyun Lu.
