Horse Feather (alt-rock, funk)
Horse Feather is a band that brings together alternative rock, folk and funk to create a great style of original music. With a mixture of both originals and covers, they move the audience to a variety of sounds: from lilting harmonies to fast- paced songs guaranteed to have you throwing on your dance shoes. Danny, Cassius, Daniel and Nadim represent four corners of the laowai universe, hoping to add to the Beijing scene with songs about everything from culture clashes to bad trips.
We’re so cool our socks don’t match, hell ya!

Disaster Chat (rock, ambient)
Disaster Chat is one of Beijing’s best original bands on the scene today. Fresh pop sounds mixed with ambient rock melodies and cranking breakdowns marks the pleasantries any ears will experience when indulging in some DC bliss. Their mix of Chinese and English tunes creates the perfect atmosphere for today’s China rock audience and they never leave their fans disappointed. If you are looking for a something other than Beijing's endless sea of cover bands then Disaster Chat is the band for you.

Paper Tigers (indie rock)
The Paper Tigers are Beijing’s “hottest … indie rock band,” and they are taking China by storm. With an explosive and “danceable” sound reminiscent of The Clash and The Cure meets Block Party and The Arctic Monkeys, the band’s original new music is the creation of experienced and successful musicians from four continents forged together in Beijing’s booming underground scene.

Having lived and performed in China, the US, Europe and Australia, the band’s members boast award winning musical experience in their home countries and abroad that includes international touring experience, a swag of big name supports, high rotation radio play, film clips broadcast on national networks and record sales topping 10,000.

The band’s charismatic lead singer, Joey Catanzaro, previously fronted the veteran Australian punk rock band Unpaid Debt, which shared festival and tour bills with internationally acclaimed groups such as NOFX, The Bouncing Souls and Against Me. In China, band members have also previously performed with or supported well-known acts that includes Su Zixu and the Paramecia, GlowCurve, Lazy Camels and Chuanzi.

Going from strength to strength over the past 12 months, The Paper Tigers have continued to wow audiences with their original songs and explosive live show, and are set for a huge Year of the Rooster. In March, the Paper Tigers launched their debut single and video clip, “Hutong Hipster,” with strong media support. The April release of their debut, self-titled EP will be backed up by national tour.

Zhege (pop rock)
https://v.qq.com/x/page/z0365t6ogvh.html
Zhege is a band of foreign musicians living in Beijing. They came together with the aim of borrowing ideas from Western songwriters and adapting them, taking inspiration from the culture they have experienced in China. Their debut music video ‘So Fashion’ (Easternisation Album) was a commentary on some wacky fashion trends observed around Beijing’s hipster hangout, Gulou, and was enjoyed by many on social media. Since releasing their first album the band have continued to develop and diversify their sound, writing music that is catchy and sometimes quite funny. Their live show is energetic with a lot of structured improvisation. Abstract lyrical pop music at it's finest!
