A voice for women’s rights and an advocate for equality, we are pleased to have as our special guest speaker, Ambassador Tania Romualdo.

There is a Chinese saying: 'Women hold up half of the sky.' In reality this often means women are caring for the family along with holding down a career.

Despite all odds, Ambassador Romualdo has had a very successful career. As a single mother she has balanced life as a mother and the demands of a senior diplomat.

Ambassador Romualdo is a true advocate of women and the importance of equal opportunity for women. She will share with us her story, one that blends success, challenges and even times of facing adversity.

In our conversation with the Ambassador she shared, “ We may face tough competition in our careers, but we do not need to be like a man to be successful. It is important to enjoy being a woman, focus on our goals no matter how our society may be biased against women ”.

Tania Romualdo has been the ambassador to the People’s Republic China since 2015 and soon will be accredited as the Ambassador to Japan as well.

We invite you to join us on August 30th to hear Ambassador Romualdo’s inspiring story.
