DreamingJulie Chamber Music Quintet

Is a chamber music quintet dedicated to the exploration of the possibility of the integration of "concrete music with conventional framework" and "abstract sound with experimental direction".

This band of “border-crossing” avant-garde artists is founded in early 2015 in Beijing, most of whom were born in 1970s. Since then the band has been exploring the elasticity of the sound, the boundaries of the rhythm, the force and the field, while at the same time trying to keep a framework of conventional musicality.

Their ensemble works mean to create special visual and acoustic experiences with the dialectics between real instruments and virtual sound sources, rational performances and emotional expressions, practice and ideas.

Its members consist of:

Li Tieqiao (saxophone), Feng Hao (guitar/sampling), Liu Ping (drums/percussion),

Yang Tao (bass), Hong Qile (software programming).
