This is a warning for everybody who involves with overseas HR business in China (internships, TESL agencies, employment and educational services etc.). Anthony Bruce DiMarco aka Demarco aka DiCarlo is dangerous for your business and reputation! He is professional scammer and slanderer, working in Beijing. Anthony DiMarco is also known as Gator, Slim Jim, Maximus, Galaxian, Meteor, Curious Carol, JB etc. From 2008 to nowadays a lot of educational institutions and HR companies in China became his victims: CRCC Asia, CUCAS, Gi2C Group, China ESL, Golden Bridge, ESL Café, EChinacities. There are just several most well-known names, I’m sure there are much more victims.
How is he working?
- He starts to smear slander information, fake reviews, fiction stories about his victim all over the internet using following keywords: “scam”, “fraud”, “ripoff” in title. He always places his messages and fake stories at online platforms about scam (forums like scam-detector, realscam, scam.com), TESL forums, forums for expats in China and online platforms about internships. Also yahoo answers is one of his favorite sources for cyberbullying. He never uses platforms wherever he must confirm his identity. He always starts smear campaign in a hot season for victim’s business (usually it’s March).
- He designs fake conversations, discussions and even fake answers “from company”, using victim name to make up fiction. The best example is with Gi2C Group, happened here few weeks ago http://www.thebeijinger.com/forum/2015/03/20/gi2c-china-job-internships-are-not-scam. He keeps conversation in threads, using linking strategy, designing specific wordpress blogs about victim so his slander is coming on top of Google results very fast. Therefore whenever victim realizes what’s going on it’s usually too late to protect reputation from damage.
- He designs few email addresses with victim name and use it sending spam and viruses to potential and existing clients and partners of victim.
3. He sends an email to victim suggesting help with removing all distractive content from Internet for 100 000 RMB or USD!!! He never accepts his involvement but saying he has specific connections. Classical "I know someone who can help". He always seems sympathetic offering his help to solve the problem.
How to recognize Anthony DeMarco's complaints and fake reviews:
- He loves illustrations, using cheesy pictures or just photo of his victims in addition to message, very often.
- Anthony DiCarlo is rolling this business since 2008 and obviously used to work at TESL business too, he has his own capital of wordpress blogs, “antiscam” websites, bunch of accounts at trustworthy scam and TESL forums, he’s using linking strategy. - Thebeijinger – to threads usually started and running by Queen of hearts, Slim Jim, Katherinecox1984, Gator etc (check threads about ChinaESL and Rebecca Zhang from 2008 year, all discussions were made by one person with loads accounts).

It’s exactly what he wants you to do to keep his thread in top of Google results. Use another way to protect your reputation: if your company has registered trade mark then you have legal right to ask webmaster of website with slanderous content of removing slanderous complaint. Some food for thought on the Canadian claim... this is what's bothering me with it.
Ok, so Bruce is simply a victim of a massive conspiracy against him, complete with false charges that just so happen to parallel his own present behavior. Fuck it, I'll go so far as to give that him for storytelling purposes. We'll just pretend that sending out faxes on Prudential stationary is the same as whistleblowing.
However, the public record shows something very different. He was extradited from Canada after being incarcerated in a Canadian prison for immigration offenses,. Now, if he was a legal canadian anything, this wouldn't have happened. In Ohio, Yum, despite being considered a liar by the court, flat out said they were no longer married. So someone's lying here. He was deported in 2007 and fled in 2008. But 2011 Yum was saying they were divorced and either way they do not live together. So how can he have Canadian citizenship? The answer is, of course, that he does not. If he has a Canadian passport I'd put good money on it being fake. Probably a pretty good fake, but still a fake. If it's not fake, then he's defrauded the Canadian government, in which case someone should blow the whistle on him by dropping off some documentation to the Canadian embassy. If it's fake, I'm sure the embassy would be more than happy to inform the Chinese government. This shit just doesn't add up.

When it comes to fake passports, as long as you are not trying to enter the country that allegedly issued it, you are more or less fine. This is why stolen passports are worth money on the black market. Not for getting into that country, but rather to lift the security features and integrate them into a fake passport. When they get a Canadian passport, they don't send it to the Canadian embassy to authenticate it. As long as the security features are all in good order and the formatting is correct, they're just swell. A high-end fake canadian passport that will be good enough to get through a visa application... a few grand at most. Of course, once he's finally caught with it.... In fact, Yuri might suggest to the PSB to demand authentication of that passport by the embassy for good measure.

It's possible to fake evidence of Canadian residence so that applicants can maintain their permanent resident status and apply for citizenship.

Every year he selects new victim, depends of his current business. He is good writer and definitely knows how to gain people's trust.

However, the public record shows something very different. He was extradited from Canada after being incarcerated in a Canadian prison for immigration offenses,. Now, if he was a legal canadian anything, this wouldn't have happened. In Ohio, Yum, despite being considered a liar by the court, flat out said they were no longer married. So someone's lying here. He was deported in 2007 and fled in 2008. But 2011 Yum was saying they were divorced and either way they do not live together. So how can he have Canadian citizenship? The answer is, of course, that he does not. If he has a Canadian passport I'd put good money on it being fake. Probably a pretty good fake, but still a fake. If it's not fake, then he's defrauded the Canadian government, in which case someone should blow the whistle on him by dropping off some documentation to the Canadian embassy. If it's fake, I'm sure the embassy would be more than happy to inform the Chinese government. This shit just doesn't add up.
Now, seeing the silly little explanations by Bruce, he's obviously running scared. He wants to try and create some sort of web trail that might fool some low level chinese morons.. I'm sure it looks better in translation.

- After victim manages to give a proof to few webmasters that Anthony’s fake complaints has nothing to do with real reviews, Anthony aka Bruce DiCarlo usually posts new threads at very same platforms claiming to get information from “his special sources” that “company hired hackers to remove complaints from the internet”.
BTW… for those who actually care about any of this crap, Gi2c has been caught at scam-detector using a hacker who thus far has deleted over 3 dozen unfavorable links (complaints) about Gi2c that go back to 2011 when they were called Getin2china. You can still read much of what was deleted because the guy recovered much of it.
